How to Make Crepes
You’ll love this sweet and easy breakfast recipe!
- First, make the easy, delicate crepes. You can make these crepes the old-fashioned way in a bowl with a whisk, or use a blender. If mixing by hand, first whisk together the eggs, milk, butter, sugar and vanilla for a few minutes, until smooth and creamy.
- Sift the flour into the batter in small batches, whisking well after each addition. For the blender method, just place all the ingredients into the blender and pulse for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Preheat a medium, non-stick fry pan or crepe pan over medium heat. Add 1/4 cup of batter into the center of the pan and tilt to distribute batter evenly. Cook on the first side for about 1 minute, until edges turn golden brown; turn and cook on the second side for 30 seconds. Remove from pan and stack onto a plate.
Adding Nutella to Crepes
The crepe batter itself isn’t too sweet, which is great because the Nutella adds all the sweetness this dish needs! Since these crepes are delicate and fragile and Nutella tends to be quite thick, I like to transfer the spread into a pastry bag and drizzle it over the crepes instead of spreading it. This little trick works like magic! Plus, you can drizzle some extra Nutella over the top!
All the Best Crepe Toppings!
These delicious Nutella crepes are so good with toppings! For the toppings, I love to add a combination of berries, sliced almonds, cheese and of course, some maple syrup. I love using blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. Feel free to top these crepes with even more of your favorite fresh fruit, such as banana, mango or blackberry! The goat cheese is also a must! It’s really creamy and just a bit salty, which helps to balance out the sweetness of the dish. You can also use ricotta cheese if you don’t like goat cheese. I want to devour a whole plate of these Nutella crepes right now!

Berry Nutella Crepes Recipe (video)
Ingredients
For French Crepes:
- 4 large eggs, at room temperature
- 2 cups milk, at room temperature
- 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- pinch of salt
Crepe Toppings:
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 cup fresh strawberries
- 1/2 cup crumbled goat cheese
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup Nutella or other chocolate-hazelnut spread
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds or granola
Instructions
- I recommend bringing all the ingredients to room temperature, which will help prevent any clumps in the crepe batter. First, make the easy, delicate crepes. You can make these crepes the old-fashioned way in a bowl with a whisk, or use a blender. If mixing by hand, first whisk together the eggs, milk, butter, sugar and vanilla for a few minutes, until smooth and creamy. Sift the flour into the batter in small batches, whisking well after each addition.
- To assemble the crepes, gently spread Nutella onto a warm crepe, then fold it into quarters or roll. Top with fresh berries, goat cheese, almonds and maple syrup. Serve immediately.
- Note: substitute the goat cheese with mascarpone, ricotta or cream cheese.

Your instructions call for oil but there is no mention of an amount in your recipe or what kind of oil to use.
Sorry for the confusion! I updated the recipe to use butter instead of oil but forgot to change it in the instructions.
Oh awesome! Thanks! BTW, this recipe was amazing!! I made this for my boyfriend and I for breakfast yesterday. He wants more tonight!

Hi, Tatyana! I’m planning to make this recipe, but I want to know how you measure flour for this recipe and other baking recipes. Do you scoop the flour using a measuring cup and level it off or do you scoop the flour into the measuring cup using a spoon and then level it off? Thank you 🙂
Hi! 🙂 Always, always measuring your flour by spooning it into the measuring cup, give it a tap wit a knife, then level it off 🙂
