Ahh, barbecue pork ribs! The aroma of ribs wafting through the air on a summer’s eve is pure perfection! And the taste, simply irresistible! After trying many different recipes over the years, I finally found the one: the ultimate barbecue pork ribs recipe! Trust me on this one – my husband is super picky with his ribs and he LOVES these! This recipe yields the most tender, fall-off-the-bone, juiciest rib meat ever! And you won’t believe how easy this recipe is – it’s just seven ingredients, counting the pork!
The secret is all in the preparation. Pork ribs need lots of moisture while they are baking or roasting away. I first season the ribs with a dry spice rub, then arrange them over a bed of onions and fill my baking pan up with beer. The beer not only adds moisture but also some great flavor! If you don’t want to use any alcohol, try substituting the beer with beef broth. After baking for 3 hours over the beer and onions, the meat literally falls off the bones! Just slather your favorite BBQ sauce over the ribs and you’re all set for a feast!
In the summer time when I have access to my grill, I like to grill the ribs for some smoky flavor. I recommend grilling the ribs before baking them, because the meat gets too tender to grill once it’s baked.
