Elegant Restaurants & Delicious Food
We were blown away with the delicious food and restaurant selections at Edgewood Tahoe! If you’re looking for great food at Lake Tahoe, this is the place! This resort has 3 main restaurants: Edgewood Restaurant, The Bistro, and Brook’s Bar & Deck. Plus, there’s room service, pool service, and a lobby bar.
The Bistro: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
This restaurant was our favorite! They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner at this location, with a special brunch menu on the weekends. Dress is casual to business causal for the evenings.
Inside the Bistro, you’ll find several different seating areas. If you want a quieter space, ask the hostess to be seated at the far end of the room, away from the open kitchen.
Outdoor seating at The Bistro at Edgewood Tahoe. They have plenty of outdoor umbrellas to keep you in the shade and fire pits to keep you warm! This space is open only seasonally though.
Breakfast Chilaquiles – Mexican breakfast dish with red salsa, tortilla chips and eggs on top. This dish is always a great way to start off the day!
Grilled Salmon with Creamy Blue Cheese and Apple Salad – the salmon was cooked to perfection! I usually don’t order salmon at restaurants because it’s overcooked and dry but this dish was amazing!
Black Mussels with Beer Broth and Chorizo Sausage – my husband LOVES mussels and this dish did not disappoint! The flavor was amazing and the extra toasted bread on the side was perfect for mopping up the remaining broth!
Lamb Chops with Blueberry Gastrique, fresh green salad, and puree. This dinner entrée was an instant hit!
Venison Tenderloin cooked medium-rare with mushrooms, pumpkin puree, sweet potatoes and sauce. This dish was amazing! The best venison I have ever had – very soft, delicate and the flavor was spot-on!
Lobster Tagliatelle with bacon and cream. This incredible seafood pasta was buttery, rich, and had the entire lobster included!
Edgewood Restaurant: dinner only
If you want to enjoy stunning views of Lake Tahoe while dining, Edgewood Restaurant is the place to go to! This restaurant has sweeping views of the lake from every seat! They also have a large wine selection and a beautiful glass wine cellar for you to enjoy!
Unfortunately, as far the food goes, we haven’t had the best experience with this restaurant and I personally don’t recommend it for dining. The food and service here has not been up to par for a fine dining restaurant every time we’ve done dinner here.
The Lobby Bar: open all day
We love the lobby bar, which is connected to The Bistro restaurant. They have all the top-shelf liqueurs and liquors here, plus a great selection of beers on-tap and a variety of wines to choose from. We enjoyed this bar during the day and in the evening for an after-dinner aperitif!
Grab a glass of wine and snacks from the bar and head outside! You can enjoy your drinks at the outdoor lounge area, or take them down to the beach.
Room Service: breakfast, lunch & dinner
The room service at the resort was incredible! We enjoyed a selection of oatmeal with fruit and this delicious Bacon Waffle with 3 types of sausage, berries and syrup! Plus, coffee and sparkling wine! We loved having breakfast in our room stunning views of the lake!
For lunchtime, the resort offers all the same options as the Edgewood Bistro restaurant. The service was quick and delightful!
Rooms at Edgewood Tahoe
You’ll find multiple different room offerings at this lakeside resort. All rooms have either a small balcony, or a walk-out patio for ground floor rooms. The more affordable option is the standard forest view room, with views of the grounds and the beautiful forest around the buildings.
We really enjoy their lakeview rooms, which over spectacular views of the lake, forest and mountains. Enjoy your morning coffee with stunning scenery!
For family getaways, I recommend checking out their suite rooms, which over more space.
The rooms at Edgewood are beautifully and elegantly appointed, with simple finishes and modern touches! We loved having a fireplace in our room to stay cozy in the evening and morning! The rooms have large bathrooms with bath tubs, huge showers, separate W/C, and double sinks. Plenty of space for him and her!
In the room, you’ll find a large, electronic notepad from which you can order room service, contact the front desk, and set your alarm.
While the room doesn’t have a mini bar, there is a small refrigerator available, as well as a Keurig coffee machine. The hotel offers reusable water bottles with water refills available in the ice rooms.
This was the view from our lakeview room from our last visit.
Fun Activities to Try at Edgewood!
This beautiful lake front resort has tons of fun activities for everyone, for every occasion. Here are some of the activities you can do at the resort.
Golfing (Seasonal)
Edgewood Tahoe actually started out as a golf course, then the resort was added on. Enjoy a round on the greens with spectacular lake views during late spring to late autumn.
Outdoor Pool & Hot Tub
The resort outdoor pool is heated and open year-round (with a short springtime closure for maintenance). There is also an outdoor pool-side bar that opens for the summertime. You’ll find plenty of loungers, cabanas available for rent, towels, and great pool service.
The Spa at Edgewood Tahoe
We had an incredible experience at the resort spa! The staff was very attentive, the spa areas were kept clean and tidy, and we enjoyed the amenities.
The spa offers massages, facials, and body treatments. There are separate men’s and women’s steam rooms and lockers rooms. The quiet room with snacks, tea and drinks is communal, as well as the outdoor hot tub on the deck.
I recommend calling ahead of time to schedule your spa treatment, as this spa is well known in the area and can get quite busy!
Private Beach at Edgewood
The hotel has a private beach area, with plenty of comfortable beach chairs and loungers. This area is open only for hotel guests, so you’ll enjoy an uncrowded beach!
S’mores in the Lobby
Want a little treat after dinner? The resort has a s’mores cart stocked with all the necessary ingredients to make these sweet snacks outside! Roast the marshmallows on the outdoor firepits and enjoy!
The lobby at Edgewood Tahoe is very impressive!! Check out the tall ceilings! The main lobby has several seating areas to enjoy the views and the massive fireplace! I love the glass staircase leading to the second floor!
There is also a quiet game room available on the second floor, right above the main lobby. It’s a great place to go for a quieter evening.
Edgewood Resort Grounds
Whether you’re here to play a round of golf or to relax, there’s plenty of outdoor space at this resort! Right outside the main doors, there is a trail going along the edge of Lake Tahoe.
The main entrance to the hotel is also impressive! All parking at the resort is valet, and the bellman are always the best!
