With my wonderful husband! This photo was taken right outside of our room! The views are spectacular!
Elegant Restaurants & Delicious Food
We were blown away with the delicious food and restaurant selections at Edgewood Tahoe! If you’re looking for great food at Lake Tahoe, this is the place! This resort has 3 main restaurants: Edgewood Restaurant, The Bistro and Brook’s Bar & Deck. Plus, there’s room service, pool service and a bar. We unfortunately didn’t get a chance to try Brook’s Bar but we’ll save it for next time! Every dish we ordered was so delicious and we enjoyed the seasonal flavors, too! One of our friends is a celiac and has to have everything gluten-free. All the restaurants went above and beyond to accommodate and had many gluten-free options!
The Bistro: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
This restaurant was our favorite! We arrived on Sunday and were able to enjoy their Sunday Brunch menu. It’s not the biggest menu but their Salted Caramel Coffee Drink was a huge hit with my husband! We also really enjoyed their amazing lunch menu, with grilled meats, salads and decadent burger! And the dinner menu was the best! We enjoyed seasonal items like smoked pork belly, bone marrow and venison with pumpkin and sweet potato! Check out these dishes we enjoyed!
Outdoor seating at The Bistro at Edgewood Tahoe. They have plenty of outdoor umbrellas to keep you in the shade and fire pits to keep you warm!
Breakfast Chilaquiles – Mexican breakfast dish with red salsa, tortilla chips and eggs on top. This dish is always a great way to start off the day!
Grilled Salmon with Creamy Blue Cheese and Apple Salad – the salmon was cooked to perfection! I usually don’t order salmon at restaurants because it’s overcooked and dry but this dish was amazing!
Black Mussels with Beer Broth and Chorizo Sausage – my husband LOVES mussels and this dish did not disappoint! The flavor was amazing and the extra toasted bread on the side was perfect for mopping up the remaining broth!
Venison Tenderloin cooked medium-rare with mushrooms, pumpkin puree, sweet potatoes and sauce. This dish was AMAZING!! The best venison I have ever had – very soft, delicate and the flavor was spot-on! I would go back to resort just for this dish!
Tomahawk Steak – the biggest steak (42-ounces!!) served with potatoes and salad! This steak was incredible! Seared to perfection!
Edgewood Restaurant: dinner only
If you want to enjoy stunning views of Lake Tahoe with the most incredible dinner, Edgewood Restaurant is the place to go to! This restaurant has sweeping views of the lake from every seat! They also have a large wine selection and a beautiful glass wine cellar for you to enjoy! The food was simply amazing! We all tried a different dishes and each one was amazing! Here are some of the dishes we enjoyed.
Duck Foie Gras prepared 2 ways and served with grilled peaches and peach puree, plus toast. This appetizer was phenomenal! It’s very hard to find foie gras in restaurants nowadays and I was so excited to try this dish! So delicious, creamy and the flavors were spot-on!
Pan-Seared Scallops with pearled couscous and seafoam. These scallops were HUGE and so tender and delicious! I love scallops and try to order them whenever I see them on the menu. These did not disappoint! We ordered two portions, we loved them so much!
Braised Lamb Shank with creamy mashed potatoes and ratatouille! Braised lamb is another one of my husband’s favorites and he absolutely loved this dish! The lamb was cooked perfectly and the potatoes and veggies were the perfect complement! This dish was actually on the restaurant’s prix fixe menu but they were more than happy to let us order it separately!
Lobby Bar: open all day
We loved the lobby bar, which is connected to The Bistro restaurant. They had all the top-shelf liqueurs and liquors here, plus a great selection of beers on-tap and a variety of wines to choose from. We enjoyed this bar during the day and in the evening for an after-dinner aperitif!
Room Service: breakfast, lunch & dinner
The room service at the resort was incredible! We enjoyed a selection of oatmeal with fruit and this delicious Bacon Waffle with 3 types of sausage, berries and syrup! Plus, coffee and sparkling wine! We loved having breakfast in our room stunning views of the lake!
Here’s the proper way to enjoy in-room breakfast service – the fluffiest and softest bathrobes ever!! These were so cozy!
Inside & Out: Stunning Grounds at Edgewood Tahoe
We enjoyed not only the amazing food at this resort, but also their beautifully appointed rooms, lobby and grounds! The view from our room was simply amazing! If you book a room on the first floor, you can walk directly out onto the golf greens, with beautiful views of the lake!
The large windows in each room let in plenty of sunlight!
The rooms at Edgewood are beautifully and elegantly appointed, with simple finishes and modern touches! We loved having a fireplace in our room to stay cozy in the evening and morning! The shower was huge, as was the entire bathroom! Plenty of space for him and her. Plus, check out that bath tub! Great way to unwind after dinner!
The lobby at Edgewood Tahoe is very impressive!! Check out the tall ceilings! The main lobby has many seating areas to enjoy the views and the massive fireplace! I love the glass staircase leading to the second floor! The spa and a small library are on the second floor, along with more rooms.
Outside Edgewood
Whether you’re here to play a round of golf or to relax, there’s plenty of outdoor space at this resort! Right outside the main doors, there is a trail going along the edge of Lake Tahoe. This hotel also boasts a fantastic, HEATED outdoor pool and spa.
The heated pool was amazing! The water was so warm, we forgot that it wasn’t summer outside anymore! The pool has plenty of loungers around the edge, along with private cabanas that you can rent. The cabanas were quite pricey (about $500 for 4 hours)! These may be a great option in the busy summer months though! There is also a bar at the pool and great pool service! Tons of clean towels for everyone, too!
The main entrance to the hotel is also impressive!
Lake views from the hotel are stunning! There are also loungers and beach chairs at the small beach, located directly in front of the hotel. We found the swimming area to be quite small and the water was too cold to go for a swim! Maybe in the summer!
Conclusions
Overall, we really enjoyed this resort and would highly recommend it if you’re looking for a place to stay at Lake Tahoe! It’s definitely one of the best locations on the lake! The views are stunning, the service is fantastic and the food is simply amazing! We weren’t able to enjoy everything this hotel has to offer due to some services being shut down due to current situations. We are looking forward to being back many more times!
