World’s Best Crab Cakes

crab cakes with parsley leaves

Seriously, the best crab cakes recipe in the world! These amazing, creamy and delicious crab cakes recipe is the only one you’ll ever need! They’re made with real crab, bell pepper, avocado, cream cheese and so much more! The flavors are out of this world. Plus, they’re easy to make! Enjoying this seafood appetizer for any special occasion!

Ingredients for Crab Cakes

I always make mine with real crab (fresh if I can get it!) and add just the right amount of ingredients, letting the crab shine! Any good crab cake recipe needs to let the crab meat have its shining moment, allowing all the other flavors to play up and bring out the best of the sweet and briny crab meat. My favorite ingredient in this recipe (besides the crab, obviously!) is the avocado. It adds a certain creaminess to this dish and helps bring all the other ingredients together. Try serving these with a cocktail sauce, dijon dipping sauce or a seafood dipping sauce of your choice.

How to Make the Best Crab Cakes

Don’t let the long ingredient list intimidate you – they’re easy to put together!

  1. Prepare all the fillings first. Dice the peppers, green onions, parsley and avocado.
  2. Combine the softened cream cheese with lemon juice, mayonnaise and Worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard and seasonings in a small bowl. Add the diced filling and the crab into the mixture and fold everything together.
  3. Use a 1/4 cup scoop to measure out the filling for each crab cake. Flat each crab cake into a patty and coat the outside panko bread crumbs.
  4. Preheat a large frying pan over medium heat with a drizzle of cooking oil.
  5. Fry the crab cakes in small batches of 3 or 4, approximately 3 to 4 minutes per side. Remove them from the pan onto paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  6. Serve the cakes warm with tartar sauce or hot sauce.
