Piroshki are little yeast hand-pies that can be filled with just about anything! I’m sharing a classic filling for piroshki made with braised cabbage, mushrooms, carrots and onion! I have wonderful childhood memories of my grandmother making these for us!
Piroshki can be deep-fried or baked in the oven. If baking, place the piroshki seam-side-up and brush with egg wash, then allow the dough to proof for 30 minutes. Bake at 350F for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown.
