Sift together the flour and baking powder and gradually add into batter. Fold in cookie toppings with a spatula until the cookie batter is uniform throughout.
Place large or small scoops of cookie dough, spaced 2 inches apart on baking sheets. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven until edges start turning golden brown, between 12 and 15 minutes. Let the cookies cool slightly on baking sheet before removing them with a spatula onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
Store the chocolate chip cookies in air-tight container to preserve freshness and texture.
