Chocolate Peppermint Trifle

Chocolate Peppermint Trifle

What can be more Christmas-y than peppermint, chocolate and candy cane colors?!  This chocolate peppermint trifle scream ‘CHRISTMAS’!! The colors and flavors alone will captivate any holiday party! This is one of those desserts you make once a year and wait patiently until the next to enjoy it again.

For this trifle, I use my moist and tender chocolate cake recipe – and I have a separate video recipe for that (fyi, this chocolate cake is killer good!). Just cut the cake into cubes, then layer with the most incredible and fluffy peppermint white chocolate mousse. Garnish the top with some crushed soft peppermints and the end result: melt-in-your-mouth goodness, so light and fluffy you’ll be coming back for seconds! Get the recipe for my ‘Chocolate Cake’ by clicking HERE! If you’re in a pinch for time, you can also use store-bought chocolate lady fingers or brownie bites.

This dessert can be prepared and served two different ways: in a large trifle bowl, like the one I used for my video recipe. Or, assemble the peppermint  trifle into individual serving cups.
